The RUBINLAKE Chrome Extension helps you work with LinkedIn profiles without switching back and forth between tabs. It is designed for saving relevant contacts, updating existing records, and keeping your RUBINLAKE context close while you research.

Install it from the Chrome Web Store: RUBINLAKE: B2B Insights

What you can do

With the extension, you can:

  • Review whether a LinkedIn profile is already connected to your organization
  • Add a relevant profile as a contact
  • Update an existing contact with newer profile context
  • Add contacts to lists or jobs when available
  • Use supported local browser capabilities to help extract visible profile details

Who can use it

The extension may require a supported plan, organization access, and a signed-in RUBINLAKE account. If you do not see extension features after signing in, check with your organization administrator or contact RUBINLAKE support.

Install and sign in

Install the RUBINLAKE Chrome Extension in Chrome, then sign in with the same account you use for RUBINLAKE.

Before you start

Make sure you have:

  • Google Chrome or another supported Chromium-based browser
  • An active RUBINLAKE account
  • A plan that includes Chrome Extension access for your organization
  • Permission to use LinkedIn profile information for your business workflow

  1. Open LinkedIn in your browser.
  2. Open the RUBINLAKE extension from the Chrome toolbar or side panel.
  3. Select Sign in.
  4. Complete the login flow.
  5. Return to LinkedIn and refresh the page if the extension does not update automatically.

If access is unavailable

If the extension says your account or organization is not eligible, contact your organization administrator or RUBINLAKE support. Availability can depend on your plan, organization settings, or rollout status.

Add a LinkedIn contact

Use the Chrome Extension when you find a LinkedIn profile that should become a contact in your RUBINLAKE organization.

  1. Open the LinkedIn profile you want to review.
  2. Open the RUBINLAKE extension.
  3. Review the profile details shown by the extension.
  4. Select Add contact or the available save action.
  5. Choose a list or job destination if prompted.
  6. Confirm the saved contact in RUBINLAKE.

Before saving, check that the profile is the right person and that the displayed details match your intended use. Some details may need manual review, especially when profiles are incomplete or written in an unusual format.

Update an existing contact

When the extension recognizes that a LinkedIn profile may already exist in your organization, you can update the existing contact instead of creating a duplicate.

  1. Open the LinkedIn profile.
  2. Open the RUBINLAKE extension.
  3. Review the existing contact match.
  4. Compare the visible profile details with the current RUBINLAKE contact.
  5. Choose Update contact when the match is correct.
  6. Review the updated contact in RUBINLAKE.

Update a contact when the person changed roles or companies, profile details are more complete than the saved record, or your team needs current context before outreach or recruiting follow-up.

Troubleshoot

If the Chrome Extension does not behave as expected, use these checks before contacting support.

Extension does not appear

  • Confirm the extension is installed and enabled in Chrome.
  • Pin it to the toolbar or open it from the browser extensions menu.
  • Refresh LinkedIn after installing or updating the extension.

Sign-in does not work

  • Make sure you are using the same account you use for RUBINLAKE.
  • Check whether your organization has extension access enabled on your plan.
  • Try signing out and signing in again.
  • Contact your organization administrator if you see a plan or permission message.

Profile details are missing

  • Make sure you are on an individual LinkedIn profile page.
  • Wait for the page to finish loading before opening the extension.
  • Review details before saving. Some profiles may not expose every field clearly.
  • If local browser assistance is unavailable, you may need to enter or review some details manually.

Still stuck

Contact RUBINLAKE support with your browser version, organization name, and a short description of what you expected to happen. Do not send sensitive personal data unless support asks for the minimum details needed to investigate.

Tips

  • Use the extension for profiles you are actively researching.
  • Review extracted details before saving them.
  • Save contacts only when they are relevant to your business workflow.
  • Add contacts to a list or job immediately when you know the next step.
  • If a profile already exists, use the update flow instead of creating a duplicate.
  • Do not update a contact if you are unsure it is the same person.
  • Respect LinkedIn's terms and your company's privacy policies when working with profile information.
